About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Pharmacy Clinical Assistant to join our Clinical Pharmacy team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a Pharmacy Clinical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, efficient, and effective pharmaceutical service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the provision of a safe and efficient pharmaceutical service, with particular emphasis on ordering and dispensing of in-patient and discharge prescriptions.
  • Analyze patients' own medication and confirm suitability for use prior to discharge.
  • Improve patient access to their own medicines by providing assistance and support to the receipt, storage, and transfer of medicines between clinical areas.
  • Assist in reducing waste through utilizing patients' own medication and following medicine returns policies and guidelines.
