About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and self-motivated Pharmacy Assistant to join our Clinical Pharmacy team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (279). As a valued member of our team, you will provide a safe, efficient, and effective pharmaceutical service, with particular emphasis on ordering and dispensing of in-patient and discharge prescriptions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist in the provision of a safe and efficient pharmaceutical service, with particular emphasis on ordering and dispensing of in-patient and discharge prescriptions.
  • Analyse patients' own medication and confirm suitability for use prior to discharge.
  • Improve patient access to their own medicines by providing assistance and support to the receipt, storage, and transfer of medicines between clinical areas.
  • Assist in reducing waste through utilising patients' own medication and following medicine returns policies and guidelines.
