We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, organized, and driven Designated Safeguarding Coordinator to become a part of our committed and passionate team.

The successful candidate will collaborate with the Principal to uphold a robust safeguarding culture throughout the institution.

The chosen individual will assume the primary responsibility for all safeguarding and child protection issues that arise within the academy and will provide support to all staff in addressing any child protection concerns.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the academy's safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring they are current and compliant with applicable legislation;
- Serving as the initial point of contact for safeguarding issues and coordinating with external agencies as necessary;
- Organizing and delivering safeguarding training and support to all personnel, ensuring they are well-informed and prepared to protect our students;
- Maintaining comprehensive records of safeguarding concerns and actions taken;
- Collaborating closely with the academy's leadership team and external partners to devise strategies and initiatives that enhance the safety and wellbeing of our students;
- Participating in trust network meetings for personal development and information exchange;
- Supporting our students and families to feel secure and valued.

The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of effectively supporting the personal, social, and emotional development of all students, along with a thorough understanding of the latest safeguarding responsibilities, including the 'Working Together to Safeguard Children' guidelines and the Prevent strategy.

A comprehensive knowledge of Child Protection policies and procedures is essential. In accordance with our safeguarding protocols, we are unable to accept CVs.
