Lunchtime Supervisor

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and orderly conduct of students in designated areas, including the dining area. This will involve undertaking direct supervision, assisting with daily decisions, and supporting students who may require assistance.

Additionally, the candidate will be expected to deal with minor incidents and first aid where necessary, and refer serious incidents to the Senior Lunchtime Coordinator or Principal.

The role also involves cleaning up spillages or debris around the dining/play areas to maintain good order, discipline, and safety.

Key skills and qualities required for this role include an understanding of the educational, social, and welfare needs of pupils in the midday break, as well as experience of supervising pupils in a relevant age setting.

The ideal candidate will have good spoken and written English, the ability to encourage and inspire young people, and good organisational skills.

They will also be able to work effectively with people across a wide range of levels and responsibilities, and be able to judge when advice/assistance is needed to meet pupil's needs.
