About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at the OCS Group. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our campus community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver day-to-day security operations to provide a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the campus premises, both internally and externally, to prevent unauthorized access and ensure the security of university buildings and equipment.
  • Provide customer-focused security services, responding to incidents and breaches in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor access and egress to all buildings on the campus, reporting any breaches or security concerns to the Control Room.
  • Conduct radio checks and ensure that all problems or incidents are reported promptly to the Control Room.
  • Be conversant in the Building Fire Alarm Activation Procedure, including Fire Alarm Response and Investigation.
  • Be trained in the operational requirements of the Emergency Evacuation procedure.
  • Ensure the integrity of the security systems is maintained as directed by the Control Room.
  • Report all potentially suspicious packages, vehicles, and characters within your patrols to the Control Room.
  • Report all Health and Safety hazards to the Control Room and instigate procedures to alleviate any further risk or damage to property or persons.
  • Submit written incident reports as required or instructed by the Security Team Leader.
Requirements
  • Completed secondary education with sound knowledge of MS Office products.
  • Security Industry Authority Door Supervisor Licence.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Previous experience within the Security Industry is essential.
  • Customer-focused, friendly, helpful, reliable, honest, flexible, and smart appearance.
  • Ability to follow policy and procedures.
  • Willingness to bring concerns to corporate attention via prescribed channels.
