Job Title: Management Accountant

We are currently recruiting a full-time Management Accountant to join our Finance team. The role will be based in our Castleford office, 4 days a week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a business partner to the Managing Director, providing financial analysis and insight to drive business decisions.
  • Lead the quarterly forecast process and leverage proprietary metrics to identify opportunities for operational excellence.
  • Manage the internal IT function, including IT support for staff.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports, including management accounts, P&L, and KPIs.
  • Responsible for payroll, accounts payable, inventory, credit control, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure statutory reporting requirements are met, including quarterly VAT returns and annual external audit.
Requirements
  • Experience in accounting and controlling in a project-based business.
  • Understanding of accounting standards and IFRS.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing new processes and internal controls.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Able to take ownership and accountability for work.
