Interim Financial Controller Opportunity

HW Interim Solutions is seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to join our team on a 6-month basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the preparation of quarterly and annual Group statutory financial statements, executing ad hoc transaction accounting, and preparing local GAAP/IFRS statements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Lead, prepare, and review financial statements to ensure accurate and timely preparation in accordance with IFRS/GAAP.
  • Regulatory Filings: Manage and oversee the preparation of all required regulatory filings and disclosures.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with external reporting requirements, including monitoring changes in financial reporting standards.
  • Audit Management: Liaise with external auditors and manage the audit process to ensure timely and accurate completion.
  • Financial Communication: Effectively communicate financial information to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to the financial reporting process to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Technical Expertise: Support the wider team with technical expertise relating to transaction and project-based accounting.

The ideal candidate will be ACA qualified with proven experience working within a Financial Services organization, with exposure to IFRS9 accounting. This role will be delivered on a day rate and will be based in Yorkshire on a hybrid basis (3 days per week onsite). The successful candidate must be available immediately or available within the coming weeks.
