About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Underwriter to join our team at Aon, specializing in Global Terrorism risk management. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our underwriting decisions and helping us protect and enhance the lives of people worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting underwriters in efficiently binding individual risks and ensuring compliance with underwriting authority
  • Accurately recording risks on our Policy Administration System in a timely manner
  • Meeting service standards to bind risks and issue policies within set timelines
  • Ensuring compliance with delegated authority from insurers
  • Building strong relationships with internal teams and insurers
  • Providing general support to underwriters
  • Participating in insurer meetings and maintaining technical knowledge
  • Monitoring and controlling new and renewal business
  • Ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards

Requirements for Success:

  • Prior experience in the London Insurance Market
  • Strong influencing and interpersonal skills
  • Organized and self-disciplined
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Knowledge of FCA requirements
  • Effective communication skills
  • Numeracy and IT proficiency
