Economist Trainee

Capital Economics is seeking highly motivated and capable economists to join the company as trainees. Our two-year graduate recruitment scheme offers a unique opportunity to train as an applied macroeconomist.
Trainees will benefit from rotations in four different teams within the company and an internal training program. They will also be eligible for sponsored study for a Master's degree or other post-graduate qualification.
Suitable candidates must have the enthusiasm and determination to succeed as applied macroeconomists. They must be able to learn quickly, write clearly, and work to tight deadlines.

Requirements- Suitable candidates must have the enthusiasm and determination to succeed as applied macroeconomists.
- They must be able to learn quickly, write clearly, and work to tight deadlines.
- They are likely to be undergraduates in their last year at university, studying economics or a closely related subject.
- Applicants should have or expect to achieve either a first-class degree or strong upper second-class degree.
- While not essential, experience with statistical software such as Python and R Studio would be beneficial.
