MECHANICAL ASSEMBLY SPECIALIST

JOIN A PRESTIGIOUS AEROSPACE AND DEFENSE ORGANIZATION AS A MECHANICAL ASSEMBLY SPECIALIST ON A FIXED TERM CONTRACT

  • Location: On-site
  • Salary: £33,250 to £34,250 annually
  • Contract Duration: Fixed Term
  • Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week
  • Fridays: Day Off
  • Eligibility for SC clearance is a must

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Mechanical Assembly Specialist, you will be part of a dedicated team focusing on the assembly of Armoured Vehicles. Your tasks will involve utilizing various hand and pneumatic tools, along with jigs, fixtures, and precision measuring instruments. Key responsibilities include:

  • Integrating and assembling intricate systems
  • Interpreting engineering drawings and instructions
  • Conducting quality assurance and performance evaluations
  • Engaging in additional production activities on high-value equipment

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Vehicle Assembly Technician, Armoured Vehicle Technician, Aircraft Assembly Technician, or Mechanical Fitter.
  • Experience in assembling heavy or large vehicles
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Availability to work Monday through Thursday
  • Willingness to undergo training
