About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Catering Assistant to join our team at Practice Plus Group Hospital, Barlborough. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality food and beverage services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals to inpatients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Audit the completion of nutritional intake sheets for each meal provided.
- Inform staff of any patient who has refused or not eaten much of their meal for onward management.
- Act on patient dietary requests for additional or alternative food or beverages requirements.
- Regenerate chilled and frozen food, prepare sauces, and plate and serve cold and hot food items.
- Probing and recording food temperatures, and recording equipment temperatures.
- Provide beverage service to patients, wash and refill patient water jugs, and take patient orders.
Requirements
- Familiarity with health code standards for food preparation and presentation.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for working with the general public.
- Ability to work as a team player and take on additional tasks to get the job done.
- Familiarity with a variety of food types, menus, recipes, and food presentation.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work in high-pressure situations.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic Food Hygiene certificate or willingness to work towards.
- Experience working within a similar role.
