Mandarin Speaking Credit Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Mandarin speaking credit manager to join our team at People First. As a credit manager, you will be responsible for assessing proposals submitted to the credit management department and writing credit reports in respect of the business proposals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess proposals submitted to the credit management department and write credit reports in respect of the business proposals.
- Compose and update credit applications, including waiver requests, limit renewals, and proposals for new transactions.
- Attend credit committee meetings to present a summary of credit reports and answer questions from committee members.
- Regularly monitor the risk situations of borrowers in an allocated portfolio and industry risks where particular responsibility has been allocated.
- Ensure compliance with departmental procedures manuals.
- Manage the approval process from start to completion and work with front office to manage time frames and expectations.
Requirements:
- Degree educated in finance, business, or economics.
- Proven experience in managing large corporate portfolios.
- Knowledge of project finance and acquisition finance is an advantage.
- Relevant professional qualification is considered useful (e.g., MBA, ACIB, CFA, FRM).
- Comprehensive knowledge of banking products and risks associated with them.
- Comprehensive knowledge of legal documentation.
- Demonstrated financial and modeling skills.
- Team player and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, fluent in English and Chinese Mandarin both verbally and written.
