Job Purpose:

As a key member of the Cranswick Country Foods PLC team, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective running of the Chilled Warehouse operation on a 4 on 4 off shift rotation. This will involve ensuring that products are picked according to the production plan in a timely manner to prevent downtime, working in accordance with health and safety regulations, food safety legislation, and quality standards specified by our customers.

VNA Duties:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely and accurate despatch of chilled product, including:

  • Overseeing the safe receipt, storage, retrieval, and accurate, timely despatch of goods.
  • Fulfilling customer order requirements.
  • Fulfilling customer shelf-life requirements, i.e. minimum days into depot.
  • Achieving depot delivery times.
  • Despatching in accordance with customer/site codes of practice.
  • Despatching frozen product as required.
  • Intaking materials for Factory production, ensuring that they are fully booked in a timely manner and correct totals.

Requirements, Experience and Person Specification:

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Ideal experience of working in a warehouse or despatch department.
  • Experience of operating a forklift, VNA, reach, or counterbalance licence.
  • Experience of scanning and stock systems.
  • Computer literacy in MS Office.
  • Ability to prioritize, achieve deadlines, and make decisions.
  • Meets QVIP values.

Additional Role Requirements:

  • Role is subject to medical approval.
  • Able to work at 13 Metre Heights and must undergo and meet the requirements of an extensive training programme.
