Procurement Specialist

About the Role
Ideagen is a global leader in software solutions, and we're seeking a skilled Procurement Officer to join our team. As a Procurement Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the acquisition of goods and services for our organisation, while adhering to internal policies and external regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their product/service offerings.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to obtain advantageous agreements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure consistent quality and reliability of goods and services.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal departments to forecast demand and manage supply chain logistics efficiently.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions accurately and timely.
- Review and manage supplier performance, addressing any issues or discrepancies promptly.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and organisational policies.
Requirements
- Experience in procurement or supply chain management.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, policies, and best practices.
- Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
