The Greater London Authority (GLA) is seeking a highly skilled Digital Policy Advisor to support the Mayor's Office in its policy-making and stakeholder engagement efforts. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with the Mayoral Director, Political and Public Affairs, and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective policies and strategies that promote the Mayor's objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide policy analysis and advice to the Mayor and Senior Advisors on digital policy issues, including data protection, digital inclusion, and cybersecurity.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including industry leaders, civil society organizations, and government agencies, to promote the Mayor's policy agenda.
  3. Contribute to the development of policy briefs, reports, and other materials to support the Mayor's policy initiatives.
  4. Work with the Mayoral Director's team to coordinate policy initiatives and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
  5. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in digital policy and provide expert advice to the team as needed.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong policy analysis and advisory skills, with a focus on digital policy issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Knowledge of the GLA's policy-making processes and procedures.
