As a key member of our freight and shipping recruitment team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth clearance of air imports, working closely with customs and port authorities, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify and process customs documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with HMRC legislation.
  • Submit customs entries using ASM Sequoia, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner, providing clear and concise information.
  • Manage customs amendments and reclaims, ensuring efficient and effective resolution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in air import customs clearance.
  • Strong knowledge of CHIEF, CNS, and Destin8 systems.
  • Excellent IT and systems skills, with proficiency in Excel.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Good understanding of incoterms, customs processes, and HMRC tariff.
  • Experience with NET Freight and Descartes System.
