We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Associate Circular Economy and Whole Life Carbon Consultant. As a key member of our Sustainable Solutions team, you will play a crucial role in promoting circular design and construction practices that reduce whole life carbon and contribute to a more resilient and environmentally conscious built environment.
Key Responsibilities- Circular Economy Strategy Development: Develop innovative Circular Economy strategies tailored to each project, focusing on optimizing resource efficiency and minimizing waste while creating future-proof built assets.
- Whole Life Carbon Strategy Development: Develop innovative Whole Life Carbon strategies for each project, influencing design teams by providing sustainable material and procurement solutions to lower the impact of projects.
- Mentorship and Collaboration: Serve as a mentor to colleagues at all levels, providing guidance on circular economy principles and best practices.
- Project Leadership: Plan, manage, and delegate deliverables efficiently, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in sustainable building practices, circular economy principles, and whole life carbon assessment. You should have a degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field and a good understanding of building elements, including structures, facades, services, and finishes.
Key qualifications and experience include:
- Relevant qualifications and experience in sustainable building practices and circular economy principles.
- Experience working with new and existing buildings across various use classes or typologies.
- Technical proficiency in reading drawings and technical specifications.
- Circular economy expertise and experience applying it to building projects.
- Understanding of various building materials, their manufacturing processes, installation, and disassembly methods.
- Familiarity with relevant industry policies and certification frameworks.
- Experience working with industry tools such as OneClickLCA, Madaster, and others.
