Job Title: Construction Sustainability Advisor

Parkinson Gray Associates, a leading consultancy in the British construction industry, is seeking an experienced Construction Sustainability Advisor to join their team. As a trusted name in the industry, they deliver exceptional services to top Consulting Engineering and Contracting businesses.

The successful candidate will be based at the Manchester office and contribute to innovative projects, providing broad and extensive design solutions to prestigious clients. The role involves sharing and providing knowledge and expertise in sustainable design to whole-life carbon assessments and circular economy statements for new build, fit and refurb projects for the public and private sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare reports for Planning Submissions.
  • Support calculations for Embodied Carbon for varying projects.
  • Support the wider team with project delivery, including preparing Green House Gas Reports, Climate Change Adaptation Sustainability Statements, and Compliance Statements.
  • Support management and training of staff on lower grades.
  • Undertake QA of other WLC around building energy demand reduction and compliance.
  • Produce accurate, professionally written reports and statements with excellent English, clearly communicating your work to clients and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to internal and external design team meetings with the required level of technical understanding to help direct design decisions regarding carbon savings and appropriate routes in the Circular Economy.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in UK based Consultancy or Design & Build Contractor.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or the Built Environment.
