The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and ambitious individual to join our team as a Trainee Manager. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in driving sales performance and day-to-day operations. You will deliver an exceptional customer experience, optimize KPI performance, and maintain high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring every customer has a positive experience in our store.
  • Store Performance: Support the Store Manager in driving sales performance, identifying opportunities to improve KPIs, and implementing plans to exceed targets.
  • Team Management: Support the recruitment, management, and development of the team, providing guidance and feedback to junior team members.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of our wine range, managing tasting events and executing an enticing and commercially savvy tasting counter.
  • Store Maintenance: Take accountability for the physical appearance and maintenance of the store, ensuring swift reporting and escalation of any issues.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve the operational running of the store, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Previous experience in a fast-paced, target-driven retail or hospitality environment.
  • Customer Service: Ability to deliver exceptional customer service and experience.
  • Retail KPIs: Understanding of retail KPIs and ability to drive improvements.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to prioritize and strategically problem-solve in high-pressure environments.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • WSET Qualification: WSET 2 qualification is essential, with a willingness to work towards WSET 3 qualification.
