Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of Cost Plans: Develop and implement cost plans, budgets, and detailed estimates for infrastructure, groundworks, and RC frame projects.
  • Financial Management: Monitor project costs and progress, and provide regular financial reports to management to ensure timely and within-budget project delivery.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and identifying opportunities to optimise project profitability.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage risks and opportunities to optimise project profitability and ensure the delivery of high-quality work.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with project teams to implement cost-saving strategies and ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Valuation Claims: Prepare and submit valuation claims, variations, and final accounts to ensure accurate and timely payment.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline is essential.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor role, ideally within the infrastructure, groundworks, or RC frame sectors.
  • Skills: Strong commercial acumen, excellent negotiation skills, and proficiency in the use of relevant software packages, such as Microsoft Office and cost management systems.
  • Personal Qualities: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
