Job Overview
We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a skilled individual to join our CNC Milling Cell as a programmer, setter, and operator at our facility. As a subcontract machine shop, we specialize in one-off and small batch production, allowing our team members to fully utilize their expertise. The role involves interpreting precision engineering drawings to develop programs, selecting appropriate tooling, and executing finish machining on various components derived from raw materials, fabrications, profiles, castings, and forgings made from diverse grades of steel, stainless steel, and alloy steels. You will operate the latest CNC Vertical and Horizontal Machining Centres equipped with advanced 4th Axis and Renishaw probing technology. Programming can be conducted offline using One CNC XR8 3D milling software or directly on the machine via Manual Guide software or standard ISO keyboard input.
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
  • Time-served (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
  • Proficient in programming, setting, and operating Vertical Machining Centres with Fanuc Controls
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Systems
  • Ability to work from detailed engineering drawings
  • Experience in machining exotic metals (super duplex, duplex, 718, x750, Hastelloy, Monel, etc.)
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills with peers and management
  • Attention to detail
  • Minimum of 2 years in a similar role
Preferred (but not essential):
  • Experience with Doosan Vertical Machining Centres
  • Familiarity with Kafo H630 (Twin pallet Horizontal Machining Centre) with Fanuc Control
  • Knowledge of Manual Guide Programming
  • Experience with One CNC Programming Software
  • 4th axis programming/machining
  • Experience with valve and pump components
  • Background in Oil, Gas, Fluid, and Power generation sectors
  • Proficiency in Office 365/ERP Systems
