Job Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled CNC Miller to join our dynamic CNC Milling Cell. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC machines at our facility. Our operations primarily involve the production of one-off and small batch components, allowing our team members to fully utilize their expertise. The role entails:
  • Interpreting precision engineering drawings to create CNC programs.
  • Selecting appropriate tooling and conducting proving and finish machining of components from various materials.
  • Utilizing advanced CNC Vertical and Horizontal Machining Centres equipped with 4th Axis and Renishaw probing technology.
  • Programming capabilities using One CNC XR8 3D milling software or Manual Guide software.
Essential Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Time-served apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Proficiency in programming, setting, and operating Vertical Machining Centres with Fanuc Controls.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Systems.
  • Experience working from detailed engineering drawings.
  • Previous experience with machining exotic metals.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills with colleagues and management.
  • Attention to detail and a minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
Preferred Skills
While not essential, the following experience is advantageous:
  • Experience with Doosan Vertical Machining Centres.
  • Familiarity with Kafo H630 (Twin pallet Horizontal Machining Centre) with Fanuc Control.
  • Knowledge of Manual Guide Programming and One CNC Programming Software.
  • Experience in 4th axis programming/machining.
  • Familiarity with valve and pump components.
  • Background in the Oil, Gas, Fluid, and Power generation sectors.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 and ERP Systems.
