We are seeking a Facility Care Specialist to become a valuable member of our team at OCS Group, dedicated to maintaining a safe and clean environment.
In this role, you will be tasked with performing caretaking duties and light maintenance within the facility, collaborating with colleagues to adhere to a structured shift schedule that ensures the upkeep of our premises and grounds throughout the year.
Your responsibilities will include cleaning assigned areas such as waste bins, drainage systems, and other critical locations, as well as removing graffiti and restocking supplies.
This position involves a flexible shift pattern, totaling 37.5 hours per week, on a permanent, full-time basis, structured as follows:
- Week 1 - Monday to Friday 06:30-14:30
- Week 2 - Monday to Friday 14:00-22:00
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing energy conservation initiatives
- Monitor energy consumption and provide meter readings
- Regularly check the functionality of the fire safety system as instructed by the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule
- Conduct monthly inspections of fire doors as part of the PPM process
- Document and report maintenance needs through the helpdesk system
- Perform minor repair tasks such as changing light bulbs, fuses, and plugs, as well as unblocking drains and minor carpentry work
- Relocate furniture and equipment as necessary
To excel in this position, you should possess:
- The ability to perform basic maintenance tasks, including plumbing, leak identification, and minor carpentry
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous, although training will be provided as needed.
