About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Autism Support Learning Assistant to join our team at Protocol Education. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting students with autism to succeed academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized support to students with autism, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and other professionals.
  • Foster a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social and emotional growth.
  • Monitor student progress and communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and external professionals.
  • Utilize autism-specific strategies to manage behavior, encourage communication, and build social skills.
  • Modify academic resources to ensure all students can engage fully with the curriculum.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists to provide consistent, well-rounded support for every child.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children with autism in an educational setting.
  • Qualifications in Special Education, Teaching Assistance, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with autism-specific interventions and strategies to support learning and behavior.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, parents, and staff.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive and supportive environment.
