Job Summary:

Strive Supply Chain Services Ltd is seeking a skilled Transport Operations Coordinator to join their team. As a key member of the logistics management team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the transportation of goods across the South West region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and optimize routes for a fleet of 50 vehicles to meet customer delivery requirements and maximize vehicle efficiency.
  • Dispatch drivers and ensure all necessary documentation is completed, including vehicle pre-departure checks and customer requirement updates.
  • Conduct return-to-work discussions and complete associated documentation for management review.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with traffic laws and regulations to ensure the company's Operator's Licence is not compromised.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to management on transportation operations and performance.
  • Liaise with Warehouse teams to ensure vehicle availability and optimize loading for specific routes or high-profile customers.
  • Brief drivers on pre-departure procedures and ensure they are aware of any changes to customer requirements.
  • Assist in checking loading for specific routes or high-profile customers as needed.
  • Complete nightly reports accurately and on time.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a transport or warehouse department, preferably in a multi-drop environment.
  • Ability to work night shifts and adapt to time-pressurized operations.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail and ability to work independently.
