As a key member of the Accounting Insight Advisory Group, you will play a crucial role in the preparation of accounts for SME clients, ensuring the highest standards of client service and contributing to the growth of the office.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise the preparation of accounts for SME clients, ensuring compliance with UK financial reporting requirements.
- Provide support to AIA Managers in the profitable running of client portfolios, working with a team of staff to deliver exceptional client service.
- Take an active role in the growth of the office, identifying opportunities and participating in business development.
- Train clients on their accounts systems and deal with client queries effectively.
- Supervise and control the completion of work, undertaking 'on the job' training and providing feedback as necessary.
- Liaise with clients throughout the year, practicing excellent client service principles at all times.
- Develop a detailed knowledge of the firm's specialist services, actively looking for opportunities to cross-sell and undertaking special work in response to client needs.
- Maintain an advanced level of technical knowledge through reading and courses, fulfilling any development or training requirements.
- Support the training and development of staff within the AIA department.
- Good understanding of UK financial reporting requirements.
- Understanding of accounting packages such as Sage and Xero would be advantageous.
- Ability to demonstrate commercial awareness and add value.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Well-developed people skills to relate to clients and colleagues.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Strong accounts production skills, with previous experience of CCH Accounts Production desirable but not essential.
- Ability to prepare corporation tax computations, with previous experience of Alphatax desirable but not essential.
- Newly ACA or ACCA qualified.
