Data Protection Specialist

We are currently partnering with a national charity to recruit a Data Protection Advisor to join their growing team on a permanent basis.

This is a full-time position based in a central location with the successful candidate expected to attend the office once a fortnight (subject to business needs) and an offered salary of £30,000 - £40,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that all GDPR/data protection requirements are understood and fully met across the organisation.
  • Acting as the data protection subject matter expert, providing colleagues with high-quality advice and guidance on best practice and approaches across a range of data protection requirements, including data breach advice and management, subject access requests, data protection impact analysis, and data sharing.
  • Contributing to the development, drafting, and implementation of relevant data protection policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Drafting relevant quarterly reports for Boards and Committees in relation to data protection.
  • Supporting the delivery of data protection training and awareness across the organisation.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a data protection focused position.
  • Data protection, information governance, and GDPR knowledge.
  • Ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision.

Working Hours:

Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
