About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Senior Healthcare Assistant - Mental Health Support. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to patients with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist trained nurses in delivering physical, social, and psychological care to patients with mental health problems or illnesses.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide a comprehensive care package.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and carers.
  • Contribute to the assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating care to patients.
  • Record and manage patient information, including observations and care plans.
  • Participate in continuing professional development and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • NVQ level 3, QCF level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent experience or qualification.
  • Care certificate.
  • Experience of working in a mental health setting, preferably in a similar role.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic IT skills.
