Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Doctor in Child and Adolescent Mental Health to join our team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for providing senior medical support to our multidisciplinary teams, working with children and young people with mental health needs across Barking & Dagenham. They will also provide guidance and supervision to the team, develop links with local acute trusts, and be responsible for patients allocated to them.
Key Responsibilities:- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing care to children and young people with mental health needs.
- Provide senior medical support to the team and direct input on clinical cases.
- Provide guidance and supervision to the team.
- Work directly with children and young people and their families, and liaise as appropriate with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals.
- Develop links with local acute trusts and be responsible for patients allocated to them.
- Full GMC Registration with a license to practice.
- Section 12 certification, or a commitment to work towards this.
- Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders in children, including neurodevelopmental disorders.
- At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) of which at least 2 years will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee or shall have equivalent experience and competencies.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
