Job Title: Senior Motor Control Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Motor Control Systems Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary design team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and proving control algorithms to ensure customer performance requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop control algorithms for analogue and digital systems, focusing on BLDC motors.
  • Model complex systems and analyse performance to select the optimal control algorithm.
  • Derive sub-system requirements for mechanical, electronics, and software components.
  • Identify suitable electro-mechanical components and collaborate with suppliers as needed.
  • Define design proving plans, conduct testing, and analyse data to validate results.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in designing and developing control algorithms for digital control systems.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and Embedded Coder for generating control algorithms.
  • Ability to model complex electronic and mechanical systems, including feedback sensors, motors, drivetrains, and drive electronics.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal and external design communities.
