Synergi Recruitment is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a prominent manufacturing organization in the Preston region. The selected individual will become part of the Engineering Team, working on a 4 on 4 off Days and Nights rotation.

Position Overview:
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, your responsibilities will include managing both reactive and planned maintenance activities while ensuring compliance with established standards. You will be tasked with diagnosing equipment faults, pinpointing issues with machinery, and executing effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct mechanical maintenance on systems such as conveyors, hydraulic systems, gearboxes, ovens, mixers, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Implement preventative maintenance strategies.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations.
To qualify for this role, the ideal Senior Mechanical Engineer will possess the following qualifications:

  • A recognized engineering qualification in the UK, such as a Mechanical apprenticeship or City & Guilds NVQ Level 3, ONC, or HND in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience in heavy industry, food production, pharmaceuticals, or general FMCG environments.
