The Resource Allocation Coordinator will report to the Work Planner and will be an integral part of the Network Operations team. This position is a permanent role.
Attractive salary package of £37,165 per annum.
Includes a bonus of 3%.

Role Responsibilities
As a member of the scheduling team, you will be responsible for the effective utilization, allocation, and management of resources across various work streams within a designated area. Collaborating with Schedulers, Field Staff Supervisors, and Field Teams, you will ensure exceptional service delivery to our customers, aligning with our Guaranteed Service Standards.
The successful candidate will uphold the highest standards of professional conduct in all interactions.
This role operates on a shift basis, covering all seven days of the week.
Key Dimensions:
- Safely schedule personnel (both direct and contractors) within the region.
- Maximize resource utilization and maintain scheduling tools or new systems.
- Utilize work management tools such as ADMS (PowerOn), MRS, GPS, SAP, and PC systems for work issuance and completion.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Word, Excel, and other relevant software.
- Raise and process purchase orders using SAP, including generating management reports.
- Handle and resolve telephone inquiries from both internal and external customers.
- Coordinate with other departments.
- Assist in investigating customer complaints.
- Document and manage Electricity Guaranteed Standards.
- Collaborate with Field Staff and update systems with site information.
- Engage with Local Authorities regarding NRSWA and Section 74 matters.
- Work with contractors to ensure compliance with section 74 of the New Roads and Street Works Act.
- Request Street Works Permits and manage Private Works.
- Ensure adherence to established procedures.
- Participate in emergency response as part of the local ERC.
Accountabilities:
Customer Service and Financial Management:
- Schedule and dispatch field staff efficiently to ensure:
- All teams are dispatched to their respective sites.
- Minimize travel times to site.
- Maintain communication with on-site staff to provide customers with updates on Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) and Estimated Time of Restoration (ETR).
- Achieve optimal restoration times.
Customer Engagement:
- Coordinate with field staff to ensure customers receive timely updates regarding their jobs.
- Ensure compliance with Electricity Guaranteed Standards and accurate record-keeping.
- Communicate with customers to schedule appointments and provide job progress updates.
- Allocate resources to minimize customer complaints and CML impact.
Operational Processes:
- Efficiently schedule staff (both direct and contractors).
- Promptly update SAP and other systems.
- Timely raise purchase orders.
- Maintain visibility of all staff through updated scheduling systems.
- Ensure contractor compliance with section 74 of the New Roads and Street Works Act.
- Manage workloads effectively and within deadlines.
- Transfer all relevant information to reinstatement contractors for work completion.
Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of network operations and job types.
- Strong PC literacy and ability to navigate various systems with speed and accuracy.

- City and Guilds 2239 qualification (salary of £29,647 until qualification is obtained).
