Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Kingdom People. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of electrical engineers to ensure proactive response to planned maintenance activity and breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support a team of electrical engineers to ensure proactive response to planned maintenance activity and breakdowns.
  • Accountable for the delivery of the Site's maintenance, including supporting the Operations team to achieve compliance to the production plan.
  • Minimize engineering downtime, increase availability, performance, and efficiency of existing assets through prompt repairs and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment.
  • Always demonstrate safe behavior and conform to all safe systems of work.
  • Support a culture that enhances awareness to reduce accidents and near misses.
  • Carry out duties ensuring the site achieves and maintains required GMP standards.
  • Provide cover on a 6-2, alternating working pattern.
  • Carry out project work as directed, including panel building.
  • Attend machinery breakdowns and ensure that all measures taken are recorded on CMMS (Shire).
  • Provide first-line maintenance support to the manufacturing departments.
  • Line monitoring to improve efficiency.
  • Carry out planned/scheduled maintenance tasks and record work done or required on CMMS (Shire).
  • Provide feedback for improving the planned maintenance system.
  • Record planned maintenance tasks and breakdowns on the CMMS (Shire).
  • Order spare parts and liaise with Engineering Stores.
  • Assist with machinery installation and decommissioning.
  • Participate in electrical and mechanical proactive and re-active maintenance to the best of your capability.
  • Diagnose machine breakdowns and act accordingly.
  • Communicate and escalate accordingly when assistance is required.
  • Carry out routine equipment safety and maintenance inspections.
  • Ensure all work conforms to statutory and safety requirements.
  • Ensure that plant and equipment perform to manufacture product efficiently to high-quality standards.
  • Liaise, assist with training, and support other departments in the general running of the factory.
  • Undertake the training of others as required for development and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify own training needs and with manager agree a time plan for achieving this.
  • Contribute to and help implement continuous improvement to enhance quality, safety, efficiency, and waste reduction.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement teams as required.
  • Communicate daily with Team Leaders and Managers to ensure project and planned maintenance, engineering, and production priorities are understood.
  • Coach and train colleagues where required.
Requirements
  • Time served engineering/apprentice trained.
  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent within mechanical/electrical engineering.
  • 18th edition rules and regulations would be advantageous.
