About the Role

Delta NEU Limited, a leading UK subsidiary of the international NEU-JKF Group, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join its established engineering team based in Hazel Grove, Stockport.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct site measures with the Project Engineer or Sales Manager to gather essential data.
  • Produce high-quality plant layout drawings to ensure efficient operations.
  • Detail fabrication drawings for manufacture, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Obtain quotations from suppliers for manufacture, comparing prices and services.
  • Inspect fabrications at supplier premises to guarantee quality and compliance.
  • Provide project engineering support to the Engineering Manager, contributing to the team's success.
Requirements
  • A strong customer focus, prioritizing their needs and expectations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with colleagues and clients.
  • Experience working on customer manufacturing sites, demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving skills.
  • A recognized engineering qualification, ideally to HNC level, showcasing technical expertise.
  • A thorough working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D, with 3D Inventor knowledge being a desirable asset.
  • Some project engineering experience is highly valued, demonstrating a track record of success.
  • Occasional overseas travel may be required, including technical training at Group HQ in Lille, France.
