Torque Consulting is seeking a talented Junior Design Engineer to join our client's development team in the Stockport area. Our client is a renowned global company specializing in the design, manufacture, and installation of equipment for various industries.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of design work, utilizing Solidworks to produce and validate designs for new and existing products from concept to production. As part of a dynamic team of 8, you will work at head office, collaborating with colleagues to drive innovation and deliver high-quality results.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and developing new products and product lines
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and improve product design
  • Validating designs through testing and analysis
  • Communicating effectively with production and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution

The ideal candidate will have 6+ months of mechanical design experience and a strong foundation in 3D CAD knowledge, ideally with Solidworks or Inventor. Full training will be provided to support career progression.

Key Skills:

  • 3D CAD knowledge (Solidworks or Inventor)
  • HNC/D trained or apprentice trained
