Timely Recruit Ltd is collaborating with a forward-thinking consultancy that is expanding rapidly. We are in search of a knowledgeable Sustainability Supply Chain Advisor to join their innovative team. This role offers the chance to engage with diverse industry sectors, particularly focusing on private equity clients.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Sustainability Supply Chain Advisor, your role will involve enhancing clients' ESG performance through strategic supplier engagement. Your responsibilities will include:
- Client Deliverables: Support the Senior ESG Management team in conducting ESG Maturity and Materiality assessments, preparing due diligence reports, developing Net Zero strategies, performing climate-risk assessments, ensuring EU compliance, and creating ESG Impact Reports.
- Client Engagement: Execute data analysis, conduct stakeholder interviews, develop actionable recommendations, and assist in the implementation of solutions.
- Sustainability Expertise: Tackle critical sustainability issues such as science-based targets, greenhouse gas emissions, ethical trading, fair labor practices, human rights, and promoting diversity and inclusion.
- Sustainability Framework: Evaluate EU sustainability trends and developments, including relevant policies and regulations (EU Taxonomy, CSRD, SFDR) and global voluntary reporting frameworks (SBTi, B-Corp, TCFD, etc.).
- Supplier Engagement: Design and implement supplier engagement initiatives, establish responsible procurement policies, and advocate for sustainable procurement practices and materials.
- Project Management: Oversee multiple projects to ensure timely, budget-compliant, and high-quality deliverables while crafting innovative consulting solutions for clients.
Qualifications:
- Consultancy Experience: A degree in an ESG/Sustainability-related field with a minimum of 2 years' experience in consulting or professional services.
- Sustainability and ESG/Net Zero Knowledge: Familiarity with sustainability/ESG issues, including energy management, greenhouse gas emissions, science-based targets, and sustainable procurement practices focused on human rights, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Supply Chain and Sourcing Experience: Background in supply chain management, sourcing/procurement, or supplier-facing roles.
- Analytical and Numerical Skills: Proficient numerical and analytical abilities, including data collection and management, with advanced Excel skills (knowledge of analytical tools like Alteryx, Tableau, PowerBI is advantageous).
- Project Management and Communication Skills: Proven experience in managing projects within consultancy, supply chain, or NGO environments; excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Organizational Skills and Adaptability: Highly organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, with effective time management skills and the ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment.
