Job Title: Principal Consultant - Supply Chain Sustainability

We are seeking an experienced Principal Consultant to join our Supply Chain team at DNV. As a Principal Consultant, you will play a key role in helping our clients develop their supply chain sustainability strategies and address wider supply chain challenges.

About the Role

As a Principal Consultant, you will be responsible for managing and leading a team of experts in supporting our clients to integrate sustainability into their core business, enterprise risk management, operations, and value chains. You will have a proven track record of business development and technical skills in one or more of the following supply chain sustainability areas:

  • Experience working with companies on addressing labour and human rights issues, specifically focusing on governance, supply chain due diligence, (environmental) social / community impact assessments, and diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI)
  • Human rights and social performance
  • Chain of custody and traceability
  • Digital assurance
  • Experience with leading reporting and assurance standards

You will also have the opportunity to lead projects in other sustainability areas, such as:

  • Sustainable finance advisory
  • Climate change/risk consulting
  • Report assurance
  • Sustainability strategy

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Proven business development experience related to supply chain sustainability advisory and assurance services
  • Project Director skills with senior internal and external stakeholder management experience
  • Line management experience of at least a team of three
  • Demonstratable senior-level experience in corporate ESG/sustainability in one or more of our services outlined above
  • Ability to direct the work of multiple project teams efficiently and effectively
  • Accountability towards service area and individual sales targets with demonstratable performance against these
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to be inclusive and be clear and concise
  • Excellent oral and written business English communication skills
  • Proactively seeks to identify real customer needs and manages client expectations accordingly
  • An understanding of conflicting stakeholder needs and the ability to develop solutions to address these
  • Willingness to travel and work around the UK and overseas
