Job Title: Senior 2nd Line IT Support Engineer

Location: Cheshire

Job Type: Office & Field based

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 DOE

Our client, a leading provider of IT services, is seeking a highly skilled Senior 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the IT support team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional support to a wide range of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Work on various client-based projects, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  2. Resolve complex technical issues, providing expert-level support to clients.
  3. Conduct site visits, audits, and provide recommendations to clients.
  4. Diagnose software and hardware faults, ensuring minimal downtime.
  5. Provide helpdesk support for AV, phone, and hardware issues.

Personal Attributes:

  1. Extensive experience with Office 365 package.
  2. Knowledge of firewall, networking/security procedures, routing & switches.
  3. Understanding of Network protocols - DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, WAN, LAN.
  4. Experience with virtualisation - Hyper-V / VMWare / Citrix etc.
  5. MS Certs highly desired.
  6. Fantastic communication skills, confident talking with seniors.
  7. Enthusiastic with a can-do attitude.
  8. Great team player, happy to help each other out.
