About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist to join our PCR Diagnostics Team at Yourgene Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of PCR-based in vitro diagnostic products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop PCR-based assays, including primer and probe design, and the use of bioinformatics software.
  • Perform laboratory-based technology development using molecular biology techniques, including PCR and qPCR.
  • Collaborate with the PCR Team Leader to plan and execute tactical delivery of projects.
  • Provide scientific expertise and technical leadership on projects, ensuring compliance with ISO 13485 and IVDR regulations.
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional activities, including complex project management and resource planning.
Requirements
  • Degree or further degree in a life science, such as molecular biology, biochemistry, or genetics.
  • At least 7 years of relevant industry experience, including experience in the development, verification, and validation of molecular diagnostics assays.
  • Hands-on experience with PCR-based assays, including proficiency in primer and probe design and the use of bioinformatics software.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to work to tight deadlines.
