Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled and empathetic clinical psychologist to become a vital member of our innovative multidisciplinary team dedicated to assisting individuals facing obesity challenges. The Adult Weight Management Service (AWMS) operates within a broader framework that includes both adult and pediatric services, with this role focusing specifically on adult patients while collaborating with the entire Weight Management Service team.
In this capacity, you will conduct psychological evaluations, facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, and create tailored intervention strategies aimed at fostering lasting lifestyle modifications. - Leading and supervising research and audits, while also developing and evaluating new clinical and psychological programs as a core aspect of the role.
- Participating in relevant research and audit groups as required by the Family and Therapies Directorate.
- Contributing to the establishment of new psychological services for adults needing weight management support and participating in service planning as necessary, while advising the Head of Service on these matters.
Proficiency in Welsh is preferred for this position; however, applications from both English and Welsh speakers are encouraged.
