Position Summary:
As the Vice President of Finance, you will be responsible for all financial activities, including profit and loss oversight, budget management, audits, and regulatory compliance. You will design and implement our financial strategy, ensuring it aligns with the overall business objectives. In partnership with senior executives, you will facilitate growth and innovation, leading the finance team to achieve outstanding results and uphold exceptional standards of financial performance.
Core Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning: Formulate and execute financial plans that support the company's growth ambitions.
- Profit Management: Supervise and enhance the organization's profitability.
- Budget Oversight: Direct budgeting activities, ensuring optimal resource distribution.
- Financial Reporting: Manage monthly group consolidation and reporting, delivering insightful financial analysis.
- Accounting Oversight: Direct accounting practices, policies, and outsourced services.
- Mergers & Acquisitions: Spearhead M&A initiatives, ensuring strategic coherence.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate robust relationships with stakeholders and provide clear reporting.
- Collaborative Financial Leadership: Partner with senior management on financial decision-making processes.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to international financial reporting standards and manage audit processes.
- Tax Strategy: Oversee tax planning and compliance activities.
- Cash Management: Supervise cash flow, foreign exchange, and banking relationships.
- Remote Team Leadership: Effectively lead the finance team in a remote working environment.
- ERP System Management: Oversee enhancements to ERP systems for improved financial reporting capabilities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related discipline, along with professional accounting credentials (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent).
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, including over 3 years in a senior leadership role with comprehensive P&L accountability.
- Demonstrated experience in managing remote teams.
- Experience in financial operations across various jurisdictions, particularly in the UK and US.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS, with familiarity with UK GAAP considered advantageous.
- Experience in managing M&A transactions.
- Strong understanding of UK and US legal and tax frameworks, as well as ERP systems.
