About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Grove Road, a specialist independent school for young people with additional learning difficulties.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students to achieve their full potential, regardless of the challenges they face. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualized support and create a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students in their educational and social development, providing support inside and outside of the classroom.
  • Help set up activities for students, using technology or adjusting the environment to suit their needs.
  • Support teachers, engage with students, and provide learning support in a positive and non-disruptive manner.
  • Work 1:1 or 2:1 with some students, giving them the time and support they need to learn.
