The school is in search of a committed and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team, covering PPA across Key Stages 1 and 2 on a full-time basis.
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will be integral to the educational process, providing high-quality lessons and aiding in the academic and personal development of the pupils.
This role presents a fantastic opportunity for individuals with HLTA qualifications or Early Career Teachers (ECT) seeking to gain valuable experience across both KS1 and KS2.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver PPA sessions for class teachers, implementing pre-planned lessons across KS1 and KS2.
- Support the educational process, ensuring a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Assist in assessing and documenting pupil progress.
- Collaborate with class teachers and other support staff to provide a comprehensive curriculum.
- Contribute to the planning and preparation of educational activities.
- Offer targeted assistance to individual pupils or small groups as needed.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate for the Higher Level Teaching Assistant position will possess:
- HLTA qualification or status, or be an Early Career Teacher (ECT) eager to gain experience.
- A strong understanding of the primary curriculum across KS1 and KS2.
- Proven experience in a primary school environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- The capability to work effectively within a team.
- A commitment to creating a positive learning environment and promoting high standards of achievement.
- An Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
