About the Role:

GSL Education - Manchester is seeking a qualified and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team at an outstanding school in North Manchester. As a SEND Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing high-quality learning experiences tailored to meet the individual needs of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop SEND curriculum at the primary level in line with national and local standards, ensuring it is engaging, age-appropriate, and meets the needs of primary level SEND learners.
  • Deliver high-quality science instruction, utilizing a range of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
  • Hold a Child Only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • SEND teaching experience at the primary level preferably in the last 2 years.
  • Ability to foster curiosity and interest among SEND Pupils.
  • Commitment to child protection, safeguarding, and pupil welfare.
