Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to forensic scientists and other staff members in the laboratory and at crime scenes.
  • Assist in the collection, processing, and analysis of evidence.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of forensic procedures and protocols.
  • Collaborate with other teams and agencies to ensure the effective delivery of forensic services.
  • Participate in training and professional development to maintain and enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Education to Higher level or equivalent, with a proven experience within a laboratory environment.
  • Relevant working experience in order to support familiarisation and on-the-job training for the role.
  • Up-to-date working knowledge of all relevant legislation and guidelines, including Health and Safety, COSHH, and contamination guidelines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
