As a Supply Chain Admin Assistant, your role will be crucial in ensuring the cost-effective, timely, and compliant movement of all imported and exported goods. You will facilitate the seamless flow of products from their origin to the final delivery point, while maintaining awareness of cost efficiencies, market restrictions, and brand requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide essential support to the imports & exports team, ensuring all stock movements are timely and compliant. Act as the primary contact for Freight Forwarders and the Distribution Centre regarding imports and exports to guarantee a smooth flow of goods. Collaborate with your line manager to enhance your performance by actively setting and achieving ambitious objectives. Keep the Buying, Merchandising, and Digital teams informed about all import/export processes and associated costs. Communicate any stock delays to the Buying & Merchandising and Digital teams to minimize impacts on marketing activities. Monitor delays and alert the Supply Chain team about any recurring issues that require investigation. Calculate freight pre-costings and relay this information to assist teams in making informed decisions regarding import/export methods. Review and flag any discrepancies in customs entries, including commodity codes and customs procedure codes, while calculating duty and VAT. Support the Supply Chain Manager in Freight Forwarder Operational meetings, attending as necessary to assess service levels and key performance indicators. Ensure all import/export processes and customs practices are compliant and updated in accordance with changing legislation.Required Qualifications:
