At GSL Education, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at one of our client schools in Worksop.

Job Summary:

A Residential Support Worker plays a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals who live in residential care settings. These individuals may include those with disabilities, mental health issues, or those recovering from substance abuse.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized care and support to our students, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Assist with daily activities and routines, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to achieve the best possible outcomes for our students.

Requirements:

  • A passion for working with young people and a commitment to their care and well-being.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
  • An updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
