Job Summary

The Aurora Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Aurora Severnside. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and wellbeing of our students with SEMH needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish a positive and supportive relationship with students to promote their emotional and academic growth.
  • Contribute to the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum, adapting to the needs of individual students.
  • Support the Class Teacher in maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist with the development of students' social, emotional, and behavioural skills.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Respond to the changing needs of the school and adapt to new tasks as required.

Requirements

  • A GCSE pass in Maths and English (or equivalent qualification).
  • Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
  • Commitment to the role and a desire to put students first.
  • Positive and creative approach to meeting students' needs.
