Electrical Building Services Design Engineer

Our client, a leading player in the transport infrastructure sector, is seeking an experienced Electrical Building Services Design Engineer to join their Engineering Team in York. This is an exciting opportunity to work on significant rail infrastructure projects in the UK, with extensive flexibility to work from home.

The successful candidate will be accountable for the design delivery of allocated E&P/MEP Projects, ensuring designs meet client requirements and applicable standards. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Producing E&P/MEP designs as instructed by the project's Contractors Responsible Engineer (CRE) and/or Lead Engineer.
  2. Planning design works to meet agreed timescales.
  3. Identifying changes to client requirements and raising them with the CRE/Lead Engineer.
  4. Ensuring projects meet all client requirements and applicable standards.
  5. Ensuring projects are completed to the agreed project programme.
  6. Experience in using Amtech, Microstation, and Relux Design Software.
  7. A self-motivated team player able to work with minimal supervision.
