About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Committee Services team as a Committee Services Officer. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the Council's decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with members and internal officers to maintain a busy committee meeting schedule
  • Facilitate committee meetings, formulate official meeting notes, and documentation associated with council committees
  • Learn and advise on statutory guidelines and procedures, ensuring compliance with legislation, professional guidance, and Council policies
  • Maintain the Digital Committee Management system, providing support, training, and resolving issues as they arise
  • Organize committee meetings, provide clerk services, and guidance within meetings, including producing official minutes
Requirements

We are looking for an individual with excellent written skills, comfortable facilitating committee meetings, and able to learn new processes and follow procedures. The ideal candidate will be comfortable using digital systems, including the Modern.Gov system, and have an excellent level of written English.
